1/16/05  I was given a teddy bear for my seventh birthday and slept with it every night for 8 yrs when it went missing.         I am trying to locate a teddy bear, it came with an oval shaped nametag on one side of it's chest labeled "BRUFF".  It was a light brown colored bear with the label in orange and the lettering in dark brown if I'm not mistaken.  I'm not absolutely certain, but I think it may have had a green vest as well.  Some distant Irish influence (the name Bruff is located on a number of Irish sites).  Considering that our father is 100% Irish, I thought the name might have some relevance.  My brother recieved the doll as a gift sometime in the neighborhood of 1970 to 1973 according to my mom.  I was born in 1969, so I wouldn't really know.  I do know that he looked like he could've killed me when I ripped one of the arms, so I know he loved it dearly.  If anyone has any clues whatsoever about this bear, please contact me with ANY information you can provide.

I am looking for what I believe to a knickerbocker bear - I am not sure.  The bear is smoky gray color - a large flat head, eye close to the
nose/muzzle.  the muzzle is white with a red felt tongue and a black felt nose.  the ears are white on the inside also.  He is about 12" tall.  The legs
and arms stick out from the body but do not move.  the paws are flossed with claws.  the pads on the arms are white, but not the feet.   It came

exudes a Lavender scent and comes in several varieties.  Would you by chance 
know who the wholesaler would be or the manufacturer of this product?  Any

Avalon Thumbsucking Bear. I'm looking for this bear that was made in 1985. I've checked
thrift stores, yard sales, and am on a bulletin board advertising for
this little guy.

He's about 8" tall with vinyl hands and face. Facial features are
painted on.  He only sells for about five dollars or less, but it
seems I get to these places one step behind the lucky buyer.

I have been trying to locate an address without any success.
Would you be able to help me?  I am looking for the address of
the manufacturer of BARELY A. BEAR.  The only info that I have is
that it states BRINN'S (with a capital B logo) on the box and
also copyright BRINTON on the certificate of authenticity
citing Pittsburgh, PA  15203 as the location.  The certificate states
that ------ is the Bearer of an original BRINTON BEAR COLLECTIBLE
EDITION. BRINTON has a registered symbol after the name.  The bear
only sells for around $20.
