Plans for GollyFest III are very much on schedule due to the deligence of Terri Kovacs. The Convention will once again be held in Toledo, Ohio at the Toledo Hilton Hotel on July 14 and 15, 1999. This event will be bigger and better than ever. The two day convention show and sale will feature noted author and speaker Dee Hockenberry. Dee will speak about the life of Florence Upton, creator of the Gollywog. Having heard Dee speak about Florence before I can assure you this will be a most informative talk.

Reknowned English toymaker, Eric Horne has been making extraordinary wooden Gollies and Dutch dolls since the 1970's when I first met him. His work is wonderful and he and his wife Christine are charming. It will be a pleasure to welcome them to Toledo and GollyFest.

Another noted collector who will be speaking at the convention is Jane Ross. She will be speaking on postcard collecting.

Noted California doll artist Patricia Blair will be offering a Golly workshop for those who wish to take part in it.

At last years GollyFest artist Susan van Niuewkasteele was chosen by those in attendance to make the souvenir piece for this year. Susan will be attending and will gladly sign this beautiful and unusual piece.
